Peirce Park
Located close to the Beach, Peirce Park has a playground, picnic tables with barbecue facilities under shelters, public amenities and a carpark. The park can be enjoyed under shade.
Peirce Park has plenty to offer the whole family. Located close to the Beach (Cotton Tree-Alex Foreshore Bushland Conservation Reserve). The themed 'snake and ladders' playground caters for various ages, providing a healthy selection of activities such as a slide, a net and sandstone blocks. On the other side of this you'll discover play elements under shade sails for protection from the sun. These include such elements as; a swing, fort-walkway with slide and a floor bouncer.
Peirce park was named after Councillor Leslie Alfred Peirce, who served as a Maroochy Shire Councillor for Division 3 for approximately 11 years (1958-1970). At the time of his retirement he held a seat on both the Finance Committee and the Maroochy Fire Brigade Board. Peirce was a builder by trade and resided in Parker Street, Maroochydore. On retirement he moved to Townsville.
