Sunshine Linus
Who are we? Sunshine Linus Inc. is a 100% volunteer non-profit organisation.
Who we help: It is our mission to provide items to a wide variety of people.
• Aged-care facilities and hospital units, especially those with dementia patients
• Special schools and guidance officers who work with specials needs students
• Disability Support providers and their clients
• Community support groups such as the Salvation Army, Community Centres Domestic Violence services, Young parent and Homeless support groups
• The Sunshine Coast Reconciliation group
• Hospital units including those for cancer and kidney patients, emergency, maternity and babies, palliative care and children
• Police Stations
• Individuals in need
Where we meet: We meet on the last Monday of the month at the Uniting Church, Coronation Street, Nambour from 9:00am to 12:00pm where we co-ordinate the donations of fabrics and other supplies, create kits for our home-based volunteers, distribute items to those who have requested them and enjoy morning tea and a time catching up with friends old and new.
How you can help: Sunshine Linus welcomes new members, sponsors and visitors to our meetings.
Donations gratefully received: We appreciate donations of patchwork fabrics, wools and any sewing resources you may wish to give. Of course, cash is much appreciated. This allows us to purchase batting for our quilts and other resources needed for the items we make. Please contact us for further details.
