External capability‑building opportunities

These workshops are delivered through the Department of State Development and are designed to support businesses at different stages of their procurement journey.

Available workshops commonly include:

  • Capability Statement Workshops
Practical, interactive sessions that help businesses develop or refine a capability statement. These workshops focus on how to clearly communicate your experience, strengths and capacity, and how to use your capability statement when marketing your business or responding to tenders.
  • Tendering for Business Workshops
Workshops designed to help businesses understand tender documentation and prepare clear, compliant tender responses. Topics typically include responding to evaluation criteria, understanding non‑price considerations, and avoiding common tendering pitfalls.
  • Contract Delivery Workshops
Sessions aimed at businesses that have tendered or secured work, focusing on contract management, terms and conditions, variations, performance requirements and successful delivery.

Workshops are delivered both in‑person and online and are offered across Queensland throughout the year. Learn more and view upcoming workshops via State Development workshops and seminars
