| Duration | 8 months |
Over the past five years, the intersection of Beerburrum Street and Cooroy Street in Dicky Beach has recorded seven casualty crashes in five years, underscoring its status as a high-risk location.
To address this, the intersection has secured funding through the Australian Government’s Black Spot Program, which targets sites with a history of crashes to reduce road trauma.
The planned signalisation of the intersection will significantly improve safety by regulating traffic movements, reducing the likelihood and severity of collisions and create a safer environment for all road users, including cyclists and pedestrians.
