Beach safety

Learn about the importance of swimming between the red and yellow flags.

Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) have produced beach safety fact sheets available for download in more than 20 languages. Each fact sheet highlights the importance of swimming between the red and yellow flags and general beach signage information.

SLSQ also provides a free mobile app for iphone and android devices called Beachsafe, available in 72 languages, which allows users to obtain real-time beach safety information and conditions for over 12,000 Australian beaches.
