Cultural diversity is good for business
Each year, over 2,000 new migrants move to the Sunshine Coast. Local businesses can benefit greatly by hiring from this growing workforce.
Employer Peer Network – supporting culturally inclusive workplaces

The Employer Peer Network (EPN) is a local initiative that brings employers together to share ideas and practical strategies for hiring and keeping migrant and multicultural workers.
The EPN began after 10 local employers asked for ongoing support to prepare for a more diverse workforce. The network helps employers build inclusive, resilient workplaces for the future. It promotes ‘employer readiness’ by giving businesses the tools and support to welcome and keep a diverse workforce through practical advice and peer learning.
The first meeting was in July 2025, hosted by Country Chef. It featured insights from leading employers and legal experts on migrant employment. Founding employers include:
- Country Chef
- Kilcoy Global Foods
- Arcare Aged Care
- Kinetic
- Whites IGG
- Lutheran Services
- Steps Group
- Ascension Performance
Upcoming meetings
The network meets every three months, the next meeting is in October 2025.
