This day is observed as The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, commemorating the tragic events in Sharpeville, South Africa, where police opened fire and killed 69 people during a peaceful demonstration against apartheid.
You can visit the Shine a Light on Racism campaign for resources and tools to help you #DoTheWork to become actively anti-racist.
