Harmony Week
Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for everyone.

Sunshine Coast Council invites individuals, community groups and organisations to take part in Harmony Week 2026, held from Monday 16 March to Sunday 22 March 2026
Harmony Week also includes the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on 21 March.
Expression of Interest – Harmony Week 2026
We welcome activities that:
- Celebrate cultural diversity
- Encourage learning and discussion
- Support the theme “Everyone Belongs on the Sunshine Coast”
- Help create a welcoming community
Ways to get involved
1. Host a community activity
Community groups and individuals can host their own Harmony Week activity.
Council will:
- Promote your event as part of the regional Harmony Week program
- Provide up to $300 to help start your activity
- Offer advice and collaboration if needed
Examples of activities:
- Cultural food or art activities
- Music or dance performances
- Community conversations
- Workshops celebrating cultural traditions
2. Facilitate a library workshop
Sunshine Coast Libraries are looking for skilled facilitators to run inclusive and engaging sessions during Harmony Week.
We are seeking facilitators with experience in:
- Cultural arts or craft
- Cultural dance
- Cultural music
- Storytelling
Facilitators will be coordinated directly through the library program.

Submit your expression of interest by Monday 1 December 2025 using the online form.
When applying, select whether you are applying to:
- Host a community activity, or
- Facilitate a library workshop
Applicants will be notified of the outcome by Friday 12 December 2025.
