Cemetery services
Council's cemeteries offer a range of services with attention to detail.
Cemetery Services, Customer Care Team - Relocation to Nambour office
From 11 August 2025, the Cemetery Services Customer Care Team will be located in the Nambour Office, to enhance accessibility and better serve our community.
This is the first step in a new way of delivering services with Cemetery Services becoming available by appointment at our Council Service Centres in 2026.
We will still manage our 18 cemeteries and continue to offer essential services including:
- Burials and ash interments: Coordinating and delivering dignified burial and ash interment memorial services, tailored to meet the cultural and personal needs of families.
- Site selection and planning: Assisting families with both immediate (at-need) and future planning for burial and ash interment sites, offering guidance and support during emotionally challenging times.
- Cemetery maintenance: Maintaining the beauty, safety and accessibility of 18 cemeteries across the region, ensuring the cemetery spaces remain peaceful and well-kept for visitors and loved ones.
