Games events and venues on the Sunshine Coast

We are excited to have some amazing events set to be held right here in our beautiful region.

Olympic competition events scheduled for the Coast include:

Venues

The 3 proposed Sunshine Coast venues for these events include:

  • Kawana Precinct including an expanded Sunshine Coast Stadium (football preliminaries)
  • Alexandra Headland which will accommodate road events (Olympic cycling, marathon and race walks, plus Paralympic cycling and marathon) and kiteboarding competition (sailing)
  • the new Sunshine Coast Mountain Bike Centre at Maroochy River (Olympic mountain bike competition)
  • Sunshine Coast Athlete Village which will be located in the heart of the new Maroochydore city centre.
