MadeSC is a creative and professional development program that supports independent artists, creative businesses and arts organisations across the Sunshine Coast.
The program is designed to strengthen professional practice and industry connections, support new work and link participants with presentation and career development opportunities.
Developed and delivered in collaboration with the local creative sector, MadeSC is a responsive, sector-informed initiative that provides strategic support for arts practice and industry development. It plays a key role in nurturing a vibrant and resilient independent arts sector in the region.
MadeSC Professional Development:
Targeted training and professional development workshops and opportunities to build the skills and capabilities of artists and arts organisations.

This program has been designed with flexibility in mind to meet the unique needs of artists and arts organisations in the Sunshine Coast region; Register for one session, two, or the full series. Registrations are essential though.
MadeSC Residencies - Applications for artists close November 17
A series of bespoke residencies in March 2026, facilitated with the support of independent spaces and businesses, providing artists with dedicated space and support to develop their practice. Delivered in partnership with The Falls Farm, LJ Projects and LANTANA Space.
Sunshine Coast Council invites artists to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the 2026 MadeSC Residency Program. Open to artists across disciplines, the program offers time, space, financial support and peer connection to deepen practice, test ideas and immerse yourself in the Sunshine Coast region.
Current Residency Opportunities:
Falls Farm, Mapleton: 2 to 26 March 2026 – a three-week residential residency set within a working permaculture farm. Suitable for artists with an interest in regenerative practices, environment and science.
LJ Projects, Nambour: 3 weeks in March 2026 – a dedicated month-long residency in a purpose-built dance studio. Suitable for dance, theatre and interdisciplinary performance artists.
LANTANA Space, Moffat Beach: 2 to 29 March 2026 – a month-long studio residency embedded within a regional artist-run initiative. Suitable for artists of any discipline seeking dialogue, experimentation and risk-taking in their practice.
Residency Inclusions:
- Up to $5,000 artist stipend (inclusive of travel, materials and other expenses).
- Residency or studio space.
- Access to industry peers for mentoring or producer support.
- Ongoing producer support throughout the residency.
- Facilitated work-in-progress showing to share your work.
MadeSC Annual LAB:
An intensive feast of experimentation and provocation for artists wanting to expand their practice and play with others. The next MadeSC LAB will be held in February 2026.
MadeSC Projects:
Supporting the development and presentation of ambitious new work connected to the region. The next MadeSC progress showing will be December 11 2025 and the annual EOI will open in March 2026.
MadeSC will support biannual arts development showings for artists to share their work with industry, presenters and peers. The next showing will be held on December 11 2025 at Library+ Caloundra.
