Managing aircraft noise
Find information about the organisations responsible for the noise caused by ground operations and the noise impacts of flying aircraft and contacts for noise concerns
Council is aware of potential noise impacts on the community, particularly for residents who live close to the aerodrome or under flight paths.
Noise is generally unavoidable for airport operations. While airports are responsible for the noise caused by ground operations, Airservices Australia manages the noise impacts of flying aircraft (the noise which most affects residents). Airservices Australia is the federal government body that manages airspace in Australia.
Concerns about noise at the aerodrome may be raised with Airservices Australia's Noise Complaint Information Service (NCIS) directly.
