Infill development incentives policy
The policy provides a reduction in infrastructure charges of 50% for qualifying projects.
Council, at its May 2022 ordinary meeting, adopted an extension to the existing incentives policy (PDF, 723KB), targeted at attracting development investment in designated areas of Nambour and Caloundra.
The incentives policy (PDF, 723KB) will run for a further three years with a new policy to commence on 1 July 2022 and finish on 30 June 2025. Incentive applications that were made and approved prior to the commencement of the 1 July 2022 will continue to have effect. For these developments the deadline for having substantially commenced construction of new building works will be extended to 30 December 2025. Council is applying a cap of $10 million to the reduction in charges under this policy. Should this limit be reached, the term of the policy will be reduced.
The policy document provides full information on the designated areas and the eligibility criteria. The infill development incentives policy fact sheet (PDF, 2.6MB) is also provided for more clarification and application details.
