Service week changing
The service week for recycling and garden organics bin is changing for people who live Palmview, Baringa, Banya and Nirimba.
The suburbs of Palmview, Baringa, Banya and Nirimba are growing. And so we have more bins to empty. To continue a great service for everyone, we need to make some changes to recycling bin and garden organics bin collection weeks.
I live in these suburbs, how do I know if this change affects me?
If this change affects you, a letter will be delivered to your property and a sticker placed on your bin. The letter includes a summary of service schedule for the first four weeks of change. You can view the letter below.
What is changing?
Your bin collection week for your recycling and garden organics bin will be swapped around with each other.
Your bin collection day stays the same.
If you don’t have a garden bin, your recycling bin collection will still move to the opposite week.
The time may change, so please put your bins out before 6am and leave them out until after their collection.
Is my waste bin collection day changing?
No. Your waste bin collection day stays the same. For example, if your bins are emptied on a Tuesday, they will continue to be emptied on a Tuesday.
When does this change begin?
- Palmview residents - this change starts from Tuesday 4 March 2025. There will be an extra recycling bin service to help you bridge the gap. View letter. [1.5MB]
