Nomination criteria 

Outstanding contribution by an individual, group or partnership that has achieved outstanding environmental conservation outcomes for the Sunshine Coast Biosphere community. Nominations require a maximum of 500 words addressing assessment criteria. 

Assessment criteria 

Demonstrated achievement in one or more of the following: 

  • encouraging and fostering community connections with and stewardship of our land and waters
  • facilitating opportunities for First Nations leadership and knowledge sharing to preserve, value and celebrate cultural histories, and the Sunshine Coast's natural character and amenity 
  • nature positive practices - outcomes that aid in sustainable land management practices, biodiversity conservation and ecosystem rehabilitation, and innovative research or technology for preserving biodiversity
  • caring for the environment through waste minimisation, recovery and reuse of materials, and assist in litter prevention 
  • caring for the environment through water conservation and improving water quality 
  • contributing to a low carbon community.
