Bullumby’s story (2022-23)
Bullumby was first tagged in the 2009 nesting season at Buddina Beach.
She returned and was observed in the following seasons of 2012, 2019 and 2022. This Loggerhead was first affectionately referred to as Mrs Dudd, as all her clutches from the 2012 season failed.
TurtleCare volunteer and Kabi Kabi woman Bridgette Chilli and her daughter Jacqui since named her 'Bullumby', the Kabi Kabi word for 'Beautiful One' during her tracker attachment in December 2022.
