Wildlife
A wonderful array of birds and animals inhabit the gardens. The gardens play an important role in conservation of rare and endangered species.
Improving the fauna habitat
The diversity of plants in the garden provide habitat (homes) for fauna (wildlife/animals), including species which are threatened and protected by law. The gardens are managed to protect, repair and expand areas of native vegetation. Fauna habitat is being improved by keeping some fallen logs and branches, replanting native vegetation and keeping large, mature native trees.
