Council focuses on four First Nations strategic pathways.
Sunshine Coast Council’s vision is to provide an encouraging and supportive framework that facilitates First Nations collaborations and partnerships on the Sunshine Coast. Council aims to be a leader in First Nations engagement, while nurturing a shared future that embraces culture, heritage and diversity. To do this, council focuses on four First Nations strategic pathways.

Council, in partnership with First Nations peoples, supports the preservation and promotion of First Nations knowledge.
Council recognises the importance First Nations peoples place on of building communities. The community strategy provides a framework to build strong communities on the Sunshine Coast.
First Nations have always held a continuous connection to Country (environment). The Sunshine Coast Environment and Liveability Strategy supports this connection.
