What we offer at Kulangoor Cemetery
Ashes into a burial site
If you have a loved one laid to rest in one of our cemetry burial sites, you may choose the burial site as a final resting place for ashes. At a burial site, ashes are interred in-ground, within the footprint of the burial site, and a memorial plaque can be added to the existing burial memorial.
Boulevard tree
Boulevard trees are communal, with several families around a single tree (twenty-four sites). Ashes interments are in-ground, at the base of the tree and the granite surround is included in the site cost. Up to three interments can be accommodated in each site.
See the Boulevard tree fact sheet for fee information and examples of plaques.
Family tree
Our family tree sites can accommodate up to eight interments, exclusively for family members. At family tree sites, the final resting place for ashes is in-ground and the memorial is an above ground pier and memorial plaque.
See the Family tree fact sheet for fee information and examples of plaques.
Garden site
At garden sites, the final resting place for ashes are in-ground and your loved one is memorialised with an above ground pier and custom bronze memorial plaque. Our gardens vary in formality and vegetation species, depending on the location of the cemetery.
Reflection pond
The Reflection pond includes a water feature, seating and is surrounded by gardens. In this exclusive location, ashes are interred in an above ground cylinder.
See the Reflection pond fact sheet for fee information, cylinder patterns and a plaque example.
Wall niche
In a niche wall the resting place for ashes is an above ground niche enclosed with a bronze memorial plaque. Niche wall styles vary between cemeteries, and range from formal granite finishes to rustic brickwork designs.

Full-surround monument site
A full-surround accommodates in-ground burials. Many of our standard burial sites can also accommodate full surrounds.
RSL burial site
These sites inlclude a granite semi-monument (upright headstone) that is already installed and included in the burial or reserve fee. These sites are reserved for individuals with a service history and their immediate family.
Tree burial site
The burial occurs around a native smooth leaved Quandong tree and has a lovely West facing view. These sites have an established granite surround that is included in the cost of the burial or the reserve. At the time of the burial a memorial plaque is then added to the existing granite surround.
Vault site
A vault accommodates above ground burials. Many of our standard burial sites can also accommodate vaults. Please check with our team when you select a site if this is your preference.
