A whitespotted eagle ray (Aetobatus ocellatus) was sighted in late September 2022 during council’s baited remote underwater video station (BRUVS) monitoring in Mountain Creek.

This ray has white spots on the upper surface and can grow to at least 3.5m disc width and 8.8m long. Check out our footage below.
